Our developers have been looking at both JumpCloud and Auth0 (from Okta) as potential solutions. The core requirement is to allow employees from our client companies to log in using their existing corporate credentials (like their Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace logins). We want it to be seamless for them and secure for us.
From a sales ops perspective, I'm thinking about how this choice will affect our onboarding workflows and data quality down the line. But honestly, a lot of the technical details around protocols like SAML and SCIM go over my head.
Our devs have set up basic trials with both. They mentioned JumpCloud feels more like a full directory platform, while Auth0 seems laser-focused on being an authentication engine. The pricing models also seem quite different.
