You're considering JumpCloud because it's "free" for under ten users. For a nonprofit with 25, you're looking at the paid tier. That's the first trap.

The free tier is a gateway drug. You'll get hooked on the centralized management, then hit the user limit. The migration cost to something else, or the budget argument to stay, will sink you. Their support on the free plan is community-only. When your "unlimited" LDAP connections mysteriously throttle, you're on your own. The real cost isn't the license; it's the lock-in and the eventual forced upgrade.
