I've been tasked with picking a WAF for a new e-commerce platform we're building. About 200 registered users, but the traffic spikes are significant.
I've narrowed it down to Imperva and Cloudflare WAF. Our stack is pretty standard: Linux VMs, nginx, PostgreSQL. Budget is a factor, but security can't be compromised.
My main question is about the operational overhead. For those who have managed both:
* Which required more daily tuning to avoid false positives on custom login/cart flows?
* How did the logging and alerting compare for shell script-based monitoring?
* Was the pricing model predictable at our scale, or did you get surprised?
