We're a 50-person engineering shop evaluating GRC platforms. Need to move faster on SOC 2 and future frameworks.

Key criteria for us:
* **Engineering workflow integration** – How much manual work for devs? API vs ticketing.
* **Evidence collection burden** – Automated pulls from AWS/GitHub vs. manual uploads.
* **Real-time compliance status** – Dashboards the security team can actually use.
* **Cost for our size** – Transparent pricing for ~50 users.

From our 2-week eval:

**Hyperproof**
* Strong on auditor collaboration. Makes evidence collection clear for non-tech teams.
* More manual configuration for cloud service evidence. Engineers will get more "upload this" requests.
* Reporting is polished for multiple frameworks.

**Drata**
* Automated evidence collection is a win. Direct integrations with our tools reduce engineer toil.
* Feels built for tech companies. Status dashboard is cleaner for real-time risk.
* Can feel more rigid if you need to adapt controls heavily.

Bottom line: Drata seems to reduce ongoing engineering overhead. Hyperproof offers more flexibility if your compliance process is less automated.

Anyone else made this choice? Particularly interested in API and Jira sync experiences.
