Hey team! 👋 I've been exploring FOSSA for managing open-source compliance and license scanning across our projects. Before I rope our engineering leads into a demo, I wanted to kick the tires myself with a self-serve trial.

I just went through their sign-up process and thought I'd share what it looks like for anyone else curious. It was pretty straightforward!

**Here's the flow I experienced:**
1. Hit the "Start Free Trial" button on their site.
2. Was asked for my **work email**, **name**, and **company name**. No credit card required upfront, which is nice.
3. Got a verification email almost instantlyβ€”clicked the link to confirm.
4. Immediately landed in a clean onboarding dashboard. It prompted me to:
* Set up my first project (with options to connect a repo from GitHub, GitLab, etc., or upload a dependency file).
* Take a quick tour of the main UIβ€”the policy engine, reports, and compliance workflows.
5. They offered a few helpful "next step" guides right inside the UI, like running your first scan.

The whole thing took maybe 2 minutes from start to first project setup. The interface feels geared toward developers and project leads, with clear calls to action.

Has anyone else tried the self-serve sign-up recently? I'm curious how your onboarding experience compared, especially if you integrated with a monorepo or a private package registry.
