Hey everyone! Just dove into the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Firewalls. As someone who spends most of their time in SQL and Looker dashboards, I'm trying to learn more about the infrastructure side, especially as our data pipelines become more real-time and we need to secure data in motion.

The vendor placements this year feel... a bit off? Like, the leader's quadrant seems almost identical to last year, but I've been reading some really compelling threads here about throughput issues under real-world loads that don't match the datasheets. It makes me wonder how much influence comes from big enterprise contracts versus actual technical capability.

Could someone help me understand, from an operational perspective:
* What are the top 2-3 technical criteria you *actually* use to evaluate a next-gen firewall, beyond the marketing checklists?
* Are there any vendors you feel are consistently underrated in these reports but perform amazingly in specific areas (like high-throughput for data lakes or low latency for analytics clusters)?
* How much weight should we give to these analyst reports when designing a new secure data pipeline architecture?

I'm trying to build a business case and want to ground it in reality, not just a fancy graphic. Any detailed walkthroughs or personal migration horror/success stories would be super appreciated! 😅
