Hi everyone. First post here, so apologies if I’m missing something obvious. I’ve been evaluating Exabeam for our security operations, and I’ve hit a consistent problem I can’t seem to solve.

I’m trying to build timelines for investigations, but whenever I add what I think is a moderate number of events—maybe 15-20 across a few different log sources—the timeline builder just freezes and eventually crashes the browser tab. It doesn’t seem to recover, and I have to start over.

I’m coming from a CRM/sales ops background, where we deal with large data sets in tools like Salesforce, so I’m used to some lag, but this is a full stop. I’m cautious about pushing for a purchase if this is a core feature that can’t handle what seems like basic use.

My questions are:
- Is this a known limitation with the timeline builder?
- Are there specific event types or sources that are more problematic than others?
- Is there a configuration setting or a best practice (like a specific browser or a way to filter before building) that can prevent this?
- Does this improve significantly with more hardware resources on the backend, or is it more of a design constraint?

For context, we’re in a trial phase, and our instance isn’t huge. Any guidance from those with more experience would be really helpful before I make a recommendation to the team.
