Saw the official guide. It's a mile long and still leaves you guessing. Here's the reality: if you're running CrowdStrike in a dev environment, you're going to have a bad time unless you get aggressive with exclusions.
The default policies will hammer your build processes. You need to exclude your source directories, the VS install path, and your package manager caches (NuGet, npm, etc.). Don't just trust the process hash lists; a single compiler update breaks them. Focus on path-based exclusions for the tools and the folders where they write. Even then, expect latency. The overhead doesn't just disappear.
