Hey everyone! 👋 New here, but I’ve been following the discussions for a while. I’m currently evaluating SASE solutions for my team, and Cloudflare One keeps coming up.

We’re a mid-sized project team, and I’m curious if anyone is running Cloudflare One Gateway (not just DNS) in a full production environment at scale. I’m particularly interested in real-world experiences with resource planning and team scheduling around it—like how onboarding new team members or handling remote contractors has worked with the policies. Vendor demos make it look seamless, but I trust this community's hands-on stories more. Any pitfalls or pleasant surprises with the day-to-day management?

We've been using it for about 18 months with a team of around 300. The onboarding piece is where you'll need to plan. Vendor demos gloss over the policy lag.

If you're using device posture checks, new contractor laptops that don't meet the baseline can get blocked immediately. That creates a support ticket surge unless you schedule their start date after a pre-flight check. We built a simple internal checklist for HR to share before day one.

The pleasant surprise was the cost predictability versus our old hardware stack. The pitfall is assuming your existing network team can manage it without some cloud-specific training. It's a different mindset.
