Eighteen months in. Wiz gets the hype, but does it get the job done? For us, the answer is increasingly "not for the price."

Their agentless scanning is fast, no argument. The cloud-native graph is genuinely useful for visualizing attack paths. But the signal-to-noise ratio is atrocious. We're drowning in "critical" findings that are just theoretical compliance misses or stale assets. The vulnerability churn creates more work for our already-stretched team, not less. It feels like security theater quantified.

The real kicker? Their "cutting-edge" detections often lag behind the open-source tooling our engineers already use. We've caught more real issues from a simple custom Falco ruleset than from Wiz's pricy CSPM module. You're paying for the platform promise, but a lot of it is just repackaged basics with a slick UI.

At enterprise scale, the bill is eye-watering. For that cost, I expect precision, not just volume. Anyone else finding the ROI just isn't there, or are we just using it wrong?

Prove it
