Complete newbie to Check Point - which certification path is actually useful, CCSA or CCSE?

Having recently been tasked with evaluating our perimeter security stack, I've been delving into the Check Point Quantum portfolio. The marketing materials are, as expected, full of the usual superlatives. However, my team may need to support this environment, prompting a look at their certification paths.

A preliminary review of the certification matrix reveals the typical vendor structure: CCSA (Check Point Certified Security Administrator) as the entry point, followed by CCSE (Check Point Certified Security Expert). My skepticism arises from the common dilution of value in such tracks; often, one becomes a test-taking expert on the vendor's preferred configuration rather than gaining operational, troubleshooting, or architectural competency.

Given my focus on performance and scalability, I need to understand which certification provides tangible, applicable knowledge for real-world deployment and management. I am particularly interested in the aspects that deal with:
* The actual performance characteristics and limitations of the Security Gateways under different inspection profiles.
* The scalability of the management architecture (Security Management Server/Multi-Domain Server) in a distributed, multi-tenancy scenario.
* The data model behind the policy configuration and its implications for automation via API (which they brand as "R80.10 API" and beyond).
* Concrete debugging and `tcpdump`/`fw monitor` techniques for diagnosing throughput and latency issues, not just GUI navigation.

The official curriculum outlines are predictably vague. Therefore, I'm seeking analysis from engineers who have pursued these certifications in a production context.

* Does the **CCSA** provide any depth beyond basic GUI-based policy creation and dashboard reading, or is it purely an introductory sales engineer credential?
* Does the **CCSE** dive substantively into CLI management, advanced troubleshooting, and the architectural decisions required for a high-availability, scalable deployment? Specifically, does it cover meaningful clusterXL/VSX diagnostics and kernel module interactions?
* From a cost-benefit perspective for a technical lead, is the time investment in the CCSE justified by the acquisition of reproducible troubleshooting methodologies, or is it merely a checkbox for partnership requirements?

Any insights correlating certification modules to actual complex problem-solving (e.g., "the CCSE lab on debugging dropped packets directly translated to resolving our SIC latency issue") would be most valuable. Benchmarks on post-certification competency are, unfortunately, not something vendors typically provide.
