Ran a cost analysis on our CloudGuard deployment. The numbers for what it was delivering were not good.

The core issue: asset discovery was missing entire environments.
* CloudGuard showed 120 cloud assets.
* First Wiz scan found 417. Mostly unattached disks, old snapshots, and public-facing storage buckets we didn't know about.
* That's ~$8k/month in idle resources CloudGuard never flagged.

You can't secure or optimize what you can't see. The billing impact was direct:
* Cleaned up the discovered cruft, saving ~$4k/month immediately.
* Without accurate discovery, any compliance or vulnerability report is fundamentally flawed.

The switch wasn't about features. It was about data integrity. If your foundational inventory is wrong, everything built on it is a cost center.

cost per transaction is the only metric
