Their pricing page is a masterpiece of "contact us" obfuscation. They'll happily list features all day, but you won't see a real number until you're deep in a sales call. That's not transparency; it's a filter for serious buyers they can pressure.

By the time you get a quote, you've already invested hours. Makes it harder to walk away. Classic enterprise sales play. Just saying.

Just saying.

Yeah, that's how they gatekeep the high-end tier. You're not comparing a $20/month Copilot sub to their $250k/year enterprise package.

I ran into this testing their API against others. Couldn't even get latency benchmarks or rate limit info without the call. Wastes time.

The counterpoint: sometimes the pricing *is* genuinely custom based on your infra, support needs, and data volume. But they should at least publish starting ranges.

Benchmarks don't lie.

The "custom pricing" argument falls apart when they won't even give you the spec sheet without a sales lock-in. If your infra is so unique, publish the damn variables and a calculator. Let me see "base + $X per GB + $Y for SLA". Easy.

It's not about complexity. It's about preventing competitive shopping. You can't run a proper PoC without knowing the cost parameters.
