Hey everyone! 👋 This is a topic I've been digging into lately as we have a growing remote team using company-issued laptops.
We're evaluating GravityZone for our endpoints, and while the security performance looks solid, I'm getting some early grumbles from our sales team about their laptops feeling sluggish and battery draining faster than usual. We haven't officially rolled it out yet, just a pilot group.
I know any endpoint protection will have *some* overhead, but I'm trying to quantify it before we go company-wide. Has anyone done any real-world benchmarking or have consistent data on the battery life impact?
Specifically, I'm curious about:
* **Idle vs. Active Scan Impact:** How much extra drain do you see when just working on docs/browsing vs. when a full scan kicks in?
* **Policy Tweaks:** Were you able to adjust settings (like scan schedules for when on battery) to find a good balance without compromising security?
* **Comparisons:** How does it stack up against other cloud-managed endpoint solutions in this specific area?
Our pilot users are mostly on modern Windows 11 laptops (ThinkPads & Latitudes). Any data points, anecdotes, or even your own "I set this policy and complaints dropped" stories would be super helpful!
I'll share any internal findings we gather once our test wraps up.
