Hi everyone. I’ve been lurking for a while, finally making an account. 😅
My team is in the middle of a big cloud migration (Azure, mostly lift-and-shift for now), and we’re re-evaluating all our legacy tools. We’ve used BeyondTrust for remote support for years, but our contract is up for renewal soon. With all the new options out there, I'm getting nervous about just auto-renewing.
I keep hearing about competitors like TeamViewer, Splashtop, and even some newer cloud-native platforms. In your experience, is BeyondTrust still holding its own in 2026, specifically for secure remote access in mixed environments (some on-prem servers, lots of new VMs in the cloud)?
I need something that won’t add a lot of complexity to our migration timeline. My main worries are: is the setup and agent deployment still straightforward? How painful is it to manage alongside Azure AD and conditional access policies? And honestly, is the pricing still justifiable compared to some simpler, cheaper tools?
Would really appreciate some step-by-step thoughts from anyone who’s gone through a similar review recently. A realistic view on implementation hiccups would be a lifesaver for my planning.
