Just saw the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ report for Security Service Edge (SSE) and noticed Banyan's placement. It's got the team chat buzzing. On paper, being a Leader is huge, but I've been burned before by vendors who are brilliant at marketing and funding rounds, but their actual automation and integration capabilities lag behind.
My passion is building seamless, automated access workflows, especially for CI/CD pipelines and internal tools. So my big question is for those who have hands-on experience: does Banyan's leadership come from its **technical execution** or from its **vision and market presence**?
Specifically:
* **API & Automation Depth:** How truly programmable is their Zero Trust model? Can I easily integrate access policies into a Terraform or Ansible workflow, or is it mostly a GUI-driven setup?
* **Real-world Testing:** Has anyone stress-tested their connectors or gateways with high-frequency API traffic from automated tests? What's the performance overhead like?
* **ROI Beyond Hype:** The promise is reduced VPN costs and better security. But what's the actual time investment to get dev teams and their deployment pipelines onboarded versus a more traditional approach?
I'm skeptical of "visionary" features that look great in a demo but crumble under custom automation scenarios. Would love to hear from engineers who've pushed it beyond basic web app access.
Keep automating!
