Hey folks! Been deep in the Auth0 weeds for the last few projects, and something kept bugging me. I love the platform, but when it comes to a quick, holistic view of tenant "health"—like are my rules/actions breaking, is MFA adoption stuck, are there weird login pattern shifts—I found myself jumping between the dashboard, logs, and external monitoring. I wanted a single pane of glass, something dirt simple and always-on.

So, I spent a few evenings cobbling together a lightweight dashboard. It's not fancy, but it gives me the pulse I need. Built it with a simple Node.js backend that pulls from Auth0's Management API and a React frontend for visualization. The goal was purely internal monitoring for our product team.

Here’s what I’m tracking on the main view:

* **Authentication Volume & Trends**: Daily logins/sign-ups, with a simple week-over-week comparison. Spikes here are my first clue.
* **Rule/Action Execution Failures**: Aggregates errors from the logs. This has already saved us twice—a misconfigured rule was failing silently for a small user segment.
* **MFA Enrollment Rate**: Tracks the percentage of active users with MFA enabled. Crucial for our security posture reports.
* **Top Identity Providers**: See at a glance if Google, Apple, or email/password is dominating, or if something's dropped to zero unexpectedly.
* **"Stale" User Accounts**: A count of users who haven't logged in beyond a threshold we define (e.g., 90 days). Helpful for cleanup campaigns.

The real magic for me is in the *connections* between these. A spike in failures concurrent with a dip in logins from a specific IdP? That's an immediate investigation trigger.

I didn't want to over-engineer it. It runs on a low-cost VPS, polls the API every hour, and stores just enough data for 30-day trends. The ROI on the build time has been huge already in terms of catching glitches before users notice.

I'm curious—does anyone else have a homegrown solution for this? What metrics do you consider vital for your Auth0 tenant's health that I might have missed? I feel like "failed logins per unique IP" might be my next addition to catch sketchy activity.

Maybe we can swap ideas and config snippets! 🔥

Try everything, keep what works.
