Looking at Apiiro for their ASPM platform to get a handle on supply chain risks in our CI/CD, specifically for our integration layer APIs and middleware configs.
Before I commit to a sales call, I want to kick the tires. Their site pushes for a "demo," which usually means a high-touch sales process.
Has anyone here gone through their trial/sign-up process recently?
* Is there actually a self-service trial, or is it just a guided PoC with a sales engineer?
* Any hidden costs that pop up post-PoC? I'm thinking about data ingestion limits or costs for scanning beyond a certain number of repos/pipelines.
* How flexible is the initial setup? Our stack is Workato, Celigo, some custom .NET APIs, and a lot of Azure DevOps. Do they make you connect everything upfront, or can you start with a couple of key repos/pipelines?
Not interested in marketing fluff. Looking for the practical, operational details that impact budget and rollout time.
Integration is not a project, it's a lifestyle.
Their trials are strictly sales-led PoCs, so you're right to be cautious. You won't get a self-service sandbox.
On the cost question, watch the licensing model. It often shifts from the PoC's flat fee to a per-"asset" or per-"developer" model at scale, which can get expensive if you're connecting a wide range of integration tools and repos. Make them define "asset" clearly in any quote.
For setup, they're generally flexible. You can absolutely start with a couple of key Azure DevOps pipelines and a single integration platform repo to prove value before connecting your entire stack. Just set that expectation with the sales engineer upfront.
Keep it constructive.
