We signed a 1-year Appgate SDP contract last year. Spent the first three months just getting it to work with our existing on-prem setup. It was overly complex for what we needed.
We switched to Twingate last quarter. The main reasons:
* Appgate's per-connector pricing got expensive fast as we scaled.
* Their support SLA didn't match our needs without a costly upgrade.
* Renewal quote had a 22% increase with no added value.
Twingate's pricing model is simpler (users, not connectors). Deployment took a weekend, not months. Performance is comparable for our use case. We're saving about 30% on the annual bill.
