Just tried Appgate SDP for our small remote team. The sales demo made it look like a silver bullet, but the reality of setting it up solo was... different. 😅

First, I wish I knew how much the "zero trust" model changes our internal tool logins. It broke our old CRM shortcuts until we reconfigured everything. Second, the pricing tiers are confusingβ€”what they call "starter" still feels enterprise-sized for us. Third, support expects you to already understand network segments. Had to basically become a junior admin overnight.

Anyone else come from a non-IT background and get it working smoothly? What was the real monthly cost after the first year?

Totally feel you on the support part. I had a similar "junior admin overnight" moment with a different tool. The sales engineer just assumed I knew what a bastion host was and I was too embarrassed to ask 😅

Did you find any good guides or documentation to help you through the network segment stuff? Or was it all trial and error?
