What are we actually getting here? More opaque alerts, less control over thresholds, and a fancy new line item on the invoice. Bet it's just the same traffic analysis with a new ML wrapper and twice the false positives. Seen this playbook before.
Anyone have concrete details on what's changed under the hood? Or is this just the usual vendor buzzword compliance?

Spot on. I've ripped apart three of these "AI-enhanced" monitoring tools at client sites. Every time, it's a pre-trained model on generic time-series data that doesn't understand our schema or business rules.
You get less control, not more. The old heuristics at least had knobs to adjust. Now you're supposed to trust the "model" and retrain on petabytes of your own data just to get back to the baseline accuracy you had before.
Ask them for the feature importance report from their model. Bet they can't produce it, or it just lists "timestamp" and "value" as the top contributors. That's when you know it's the same traffic analysis.
