Just saw the announcement for CrowdStrike's new AI Advisor. It's built into their platform and promises to do natural language investigations and auto-generate queries. Sounds a lot like what specialized AI agents like Claw do.
As an early-stage founder trying to keep tool sprawl minimal, this has me wondering. If a major platform bakes this in, does it make more niche, standalone AI agents obsolete? Specifically for an SMB/SME context, not a giant enterprise. Is the integration with the existing Falcon data the killer feature, or is there still a case for a third-party tool that might be more flexible or affordable?
Yeah, that's the exact tension we're facing. The integration is a huge pull, no doubt. But as an SMB, I'm locked into their entire pricing model just to get that AI feature.
For a niche agent like Claw, the bet is they iterate faster on the AI side itself. CrowdStrike's version might be good, but will it be the best? And can I afford to wait and see?
I'm leaning towards trying the standalone tool for now precisely because of flexibility. If it flops, I'm not stuck in a bigger contract.
