Alright team, I've been in this exact spot. You've done the trial, you're convinced 1Password Business is the right tool for security and ops efficiency, but now you need to get the CFO or CEO to sign off on the annual cost, which likely looks higher than "just passwords" on a spreadsheet.

The key is to shift the conversation from *cost* to *risk mitigation and revenue enablement*. C-level thinks in terms of business impact, not features. Here's what worked for us when I presented it last quarter.

First, quantify the current "shadow" cost. How much time does IT spend resetting passwords? What's the risk-weighted cost of a potential breach from shared spreadsheets or sticky notes? Even a simple shared vault incident can lock a team out of critical salesforce or ad accounts, stalling campaigns. Frame 1Password as *insurance* against that downtime.

Then, connect it directly to revenue operations and compliance. For us, being able to securely share vendor logins (like our marketing automation platform) with new hires on day one shaved a week off their ramp time. The granular access controls mean we can share Salesforce credentials with a contractor without giving them the keys to the financials. This speaks directly to a CFO's concerns about audit trails and a CRO's need for agile team scaling.

Finally, present the increase as consolidating tools. Are you paying for separate personal password managers? Maybe a less-secure internal wiki for credentials? Show how 1Password Business replaces those, simplifying billing and security oversight. The admin console alone, being able to deprovision users instantly, is a huge win for offboarding security that often gets overlooked.

I led with a simple one-pager: three bullet points on risk reduction, three on efficiency gains (with our own time estimates), and a clear comparison of current fragmented costs vs. the consolidated 1Password line item. They approved it in the next budget cycle.
