Hey everyone, new here but I've been lurking for a bit while we evaluate CRMs for our small team. We're a 5-person marketing agency, and we've been testing Nimble CRM for the last two weeks on their 'Starter' plan ($19/user/month).
I was really surprised to find out that their email tracking feature—you know, seeing if/when someone opens your email—isn't included in the Starter tier. It's only available on the 'Pro' plan, which is $35/user/month. That's almost double the cost!
This feels like a pretty core feature for a CRM, especially at the 'starter' level. We picked Nimble because it integrates directly with Gmail and seemed straightforward, but a lot of our outreach is email-based. Not having open/click tracking means we're flying blind on engagement.
Has anyone else run into this? Is this a common 'gotcha' with other vendors where they strip out basic sales activity features on the entry tier? We're now looking at HubSpot's free tier or maybe even Zoho, but I'm worried we'll find similar landmines.
For those who negotiated with Nimble, did they ever consider unlocking just that one feature on the lower plan, or is moving up to Pro the only way? The jump in price is significant for our budget.
