Am I the only one who thinks data migration consultants charge way too much for simple jobs?

Okay, I need to get this off my chest. 😅 I'm evaluating a move from HubSpot's free tier to a more basic paid CRM (like Zoho or maybe Freshsales). My data set is honestly not huge—maybe 500 contacts, some deal stages, and basic activity logs.

I've gotten three quotes just for the migration help, and they're all in the $3k-$5k range! It seems like a lot for what I imagine is just mapping fields from one CSV to another? Maybe I'm totally naive.

Is this normal? What am I missing that makes this so expensive? I'm scared to DIY it and break everything, but that price feels like a whole new tool for a year. Did anyone else feel this way? What did you end up doing?
