Hi everyone. I'm new here and still figuring out a lot of this.
I'm helping my small team pick a new support tool, and we need a proper BAA because we handle some PHI. A few vendors have just pointed me to a general "we are HIPAA compliant" policy page on their website when I ask. I'm nervous about signing anything if that's all they provide.
Could someone walk me through what steps I should take to actually get a signed BAA document from a vendor? What should I ask for specifically? I don't want to be a bother, but I also don't want to assume the policy page is the legal agreement.
