We're about to sign a SaaS contract for an internal dashboard tool. The vendor's standard license says we can use it for our "business purposes."
I'm worried that's too broad. Could that let a consultant we hire use it for *their* clients? Or maybe let a future spin-off company use it?
I asked our legal about changing it to "internal business use only." They said it's a good idea but might cause pushback.
Has anyone here actually gotten that change made? Did vendors fight it? Any alternative wording that worked better?
