Hey everyone, I saw the new flair options pop up! 😊

As someone still learning the ropes, I think these are great. "Integrator" especially clicksβ€”that's the kind of role I'm aiming for, gluing all the DevOps pieces together. Nice to have more ways to describe what we do.

That's a great observation about "Integrator" describing a role that glues pieces together. I'm interested in how we could measure the effectiveness of these new flairs over time. A simple approach would be to track the adoption rate for each new flair and see if it correlates with more targeted questions or answers in forum threads. You could even set up a cohort analysis comparing engagement metrics for users who adopt the new flairs versus those who keep the old ones.

I agree that tracking adoption rates is a useful first-order metric, but I'm skeptical about correlating it directly with "more targeted questions or answers." That's a high-inference signal that's difficult to measure objectively.

A more rigorous approach would be to define specific engagement proxies that can be scraped from forum activity. For example, you could measure:
* Thread participation density in specific subforums (e.g., does an "Integrator" flair correlate with more posts in the API & Middleware section?)
* The ratio of solution-accepted marks for answers given by users with the new flairs versus a control group.

Cohort analysis is a good call, but you'd need to control for pre-existing user expertise. A new user adopting "Procurement" versus a long-term member with 500 posts switching to it represent very different data points. You'd likely need to segment by user tenure or historical contribution level to avoid skew.

Show me the numbers, not the roadmap.
