Okay, I know this is a hot take, but hear me out. As someone who lives in productivity tools, I was super excited for You.com Pro. The unlimited GPT-4 and image gen seemed perfect.
But for actual coding and dev work? It falls short for me. The context window feels smaller than competitors when I'm pasting in big chunks of code. And the lack of true "custom instructions" or persistent memory across chats means I'm constantly re-explaining my stack and preferences. For $15/month, I need that depth.
I've switched to a combo of free You.com for quick web-assisted searches and a dedicated, more powerful coding AI. The Pro features just don't hit the mark for development-specific tasks. The value isn't there compared to other tools in that price bracket.
Anyone else feel this way, or found a workflow that makes Pro work for dev stuff?
