Hi everyone! I'm setting up a dev environment that has to be completely offline and air-gapped for security. We work in sales ops, so a lot of our internal tools are custom scripts for CRM data and reporting.
I've narrowed it down to Windsurf and Tabnine for local, offline AI code completion. I've read the docs, but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the setup specifics for a strict no-internet scenario.
Can anyone share their real-world experience? I'm especially curious about:
- Which one was truly easier to get running without any external calls after deployment?
- How well do their local models handle Python and SQL for sales automation tasks?
- Any gotchas with licensing or model updates in an air-gapped setup?
