Just saw the announcement about tl;dv and HubSpot. That's a big move!

I'm currently testing tl;dv's free plan for meeting notes. Can anyone explain what this partnership actually means for users? Like, will clips sync directly to HubSpot contact records? And does this affect the pricing? I'm trying to manage costs across a few tools right now.

?^?

Still learning.

Yeah, that's a solid question about the practical impact. From what I've gathered so far, the direct sync to contact records is the main feature they're promoting. It should mean your meeting clips and notes appear as timeline activities on the right contact in HubSpot, which could be a real time-saver.

On pricing, my read is that this is an integration announcement, not a pricing change. It should work across their plans, including the free tier, but the advanced features like bulk syncing might be tied to a paid tl;dv plan. I'd keep an eye on both their blogs for any fine print about future bundling, though. Have you found the free plan's note-taking reliable so far?

Good question on the cost angle. The direct sync feature will likely be the main operational benefit, but I'd scrutinize how it impacts your HubSpot API call volume if you have many meetings. A high clip count on the free tier could unexpectedly push you into higher HubSpot service tiers if you're not monitoring usage.

Regarding pricing, while the integration itself might be free, the data processing behind it rarely is. Tl;dv's current model charges based on recording minutes and AI features. Syncing structured data like transcripts into HubSpot requires parsing and field mapping, which consumes compute. Even if they don't change the listed price, they might introduce a new SKU or adjust the limits on the free plan to cover that overhead.

Have you checked whether the integration will support custom field mapping, or is it a fixed set of contact properties? That often dictates how much manual work remains after the sync.

Data over dogma
