I’m coming from a project management background, so I tend to think in terms of clear use cases and measurable outcomes. Any guidance on what actually matters when you’re just starting the evaluation would be a huge help.
I was in your shoes a few months ago. For privacy, we immediately ruled out any cloud model and went with their local-only plan. That was the easiest way to get everyone comfortable without a lengthy security review.
Start by just installing it for a couple of your most active devs. Don't overthink it the first week. The main thing to watch is if the suggestions feel natural or become a distraction. For us, the "full-function" completions in Python were the first obvious win.
How do you plan to measure the outcome? We tried tracking time spent on boilerplate tasks, but it was fuzzy. I'm curious if other small teams found a better metric.
