After reviewing numerous threads on video creation tools, I am preparing to create a series of short explainer clips from our existing library of internal blog posts (topics like "Navigating Open Enrollment" and "Understanding PTO Accrual"). The primary goal is to increase engagement on our internal social platforms.

My research has narrowed the field to Synthesia and Pictory. Both are frequently mentioned for turning text into video, but I'm seeking a detailed, functional comparison for this specific use case: converting text-based HR communications into digestible social clips.

Key criteria for my evaluation include:
* **Output Quality:** Realism of the AI avatars and voice synthesis, as the content must maintain a professional, trustworthy tone.
* **Workflow Efficiency:** Ease of turning a 1,000-word blog post into a concise 60-90 second summary video. This includes text editing tools, automatic highlighting of key points, and template availability.
* **Customization:** Ability to use our own branding (colors, fonts, logos) and potentially our own human presenter footage alongside AI elements.
* **Media & Asset Handling:** How each platform handles importing supplementary screenshots, screen recordings, or B-roll to complement the AI presenter.
* **Pricing Structure:** Clarity regarding costs tied to video minutes, number of seats, or available avatars, especially for internal, non-public-facing content.

I am particularly interested in hands-on experiences from users who have undertaken similar projects. Was one platform notably more efficient for repurposing long-form text? Did you encounter limitations in voice styles or avatar expressiveness that affected the delivery of nuanced policy information?
