Hot take: The 'Rewrite' feature is only good for fixing truly bad sentences, not for style.

I've been using Sudowrite for a few weeks, mostly for technical documentation drafts. I keep seeing praise for the 'Rewrite' feature, but I'm not convinced.

I find it works well when a sentence is objectively clunky or passive. But when I ask it to rewrite something in a different style—like "more concise" or "more formal"—the output often feels generic. It loses the original intent or introduces subtle inaccuracies, which is a big problem for my use case.

Am I using it wrong? Has anyone else found a reliable way to use it for genuine style shifts, not just grammar fixes? I'm curious about your workflows.
