Been evaluating Sudowrite for our content team. The pricing tiers are a mess of vague terminology, especially the "premium words" metric.
From what I can piece together:
* "Premium words" are not just any words you generate. They seem to be words produced by their more advanced features like "Brainstorm" or "Rewrite," not the basic "Write" command.
* The standard "Hobby" plan gives you 30,000 "premium words" per month. That's not a huge amount if you're using it for actual drafting and revision, not just light editing.
* If you hit the limit, you either stop using those features or you pay for overages, which gets expensive fast.
Has anyone actually gotten a clear, written definition from their support? The lack of transparency makes it impossible to forecast costs. Are we budgeting for 30,000 words of output, or is it 10,000 words after three rounds of "premium" revisions?
Comparing this to other tools with clear per-token or flat-rate pricing, it feels designed to be opaque. Would rather pay a straightforward price than have to decode what a "word" means.
