You can switch the AI voice model from OpenAI to Claude Sonnet. Claims of "more natural" cadence, but honestly, it just sounds slightly slower and flatter to me. No dramatic improvement. The cost implication is opaque—you're paying Speechify, who's paying Anthropic. Feels like another layer of markup.
Main gripe: still no real-time, low-latency option for live scenarios (think: monitoring alerts, incident calls). Batch processing a document? Sure. But for actual workflow integration, it's just another TTS engine swap. Where's the deep integration? Can it pull structured data from my observability stack and read it with context? Nope.
