Just updated and saw the new "smart folders" feature. I'm always looking for ways to organize research papers more efficiently, but I'm a bit skeptical.
On paper, automatically grouping papers by topic, author, or status sounds perfect. My library is a mess. But does it actually understand context well enough? Or will it just create a bunch of overlapping folders that confuse me more?
I'm thinking:
* **Pros:** Could automate tagging, surface forgotten papers, clean up manual lists.
* **Cons:** Might mis-categorize niche topics, add another layer to manage, become a "set and forget" feature that's not actually smart.
Has anyone put it through its paces yet? I'm curious about the actual logic behind the groupings. Is it just keyword matching, or something more advanced?
