Hi everyone! I'm pretty new to this whole world of B2B tools, and I'm currently trying out Rytr for our small team. We're realizing we need to sound more consistent in our marketing emails, website copy, and social posts.

I've seen "brand voice" mentioned a lot, and Rytr has a section for it, but I'll be honest—I'm a bit lost on how to actually set it up properly. I don't just want to put in a few adjectives and call it done.

Could someone walk me through the actual steps, maybe with an example? Like, if I wanted our brand to sound "friendly, expert, and a bit quirky," what exactly do I type into those fields? Are there specific examples of "brand voice" vs. "use case" that work well?

Also, once it's set up, how do you make sure you're using it correctly? Do you select it every single time you generate text?

Any guidance would be super appreciated. I'm trying to learn all this from scratch, and it feels like getting the brand voice right is a really important first step.

That's a solid question. I'm in infrastructure, not marketing, but we set up something similar for our technical docs using a different tool. The principle's the same.

For "friendly, expert, and a bit quirky," don't just type those words. Give Rytr concrete examples to work from.
* For "friendly," paste a line from a past email that felt genuinely helpful.
* For "expert," add a short, clear explanation of a complex topic your team has written.
* For "quirky," include that one fun footnote or internal joke that got a laugh. The AI needs patterns, not just labels.

You'll need to select that brand voice profile each time you start a new project in Rytr. It doesn't usually carry over automatically. After you generate text, always skim it - sometimes you'll need to tweak a prompt or feed it another example to keep the tone on track.
