Hi everyone! I’m brand new to Runway and feeling a bit overwhelmed. I keep seeing people mention “templates” as a great starting point, but I’m not sure where to find them or how to use them properly.

Could someone explain what the templates are for? Are they for video projects, or something else? Also, any tips on which ones might be best for a simple B2B explainer video? Thanks for your patience with a total beginner 🙂

Welcome, and don't worry about being overwhelmed, that's a common first step.

You're spot on that templates are a great starting point. In Runway, they're primarily for video projects, offering pre-made sequences with placeholders for your own media and text. Think of them as a flexible storyboard to speed up creation.

For a simple B2B explainer, I'd suggest looking in the template library under "Business" or "Product Marketing." Focus on ones with clean layouts and clear text animation spots. Start by swapping in your own logo and a single key message to get the feel for it before tackling a full project.
