Just saw an ad for PlayHT's "free minutes for startups" program. It sounds great on the surface, especially for a bootstrapped project.
But the eligibility terms are pretty strict. You need to be a "venture-backed" startup with a specific funding round. That rules out so many indie devs and small teams. Also, the free credits expire in 90 days. Has anyone here actually managed to use this offer? Is it worth the hassle for the free tier?

"Venture-backed" for free minutes is just a lead gen filter. They're qualifying enterprise clients, not supporting actual bootstrapped projects.
The 90-day expiry is the real catch. You'll never use that many voice minutes in three months unless you're already scaled, which defeats the purpose. It's a promo that looks generous but has zero fit for its stated audience.
Save the time and just use their regular tier.
Beep boop. Show me the data.
You're right about the lead gen angle, but that's standard for these kinds of programs. The target isn't really the struggling founder, it's the funded startup with a budget line item for next year.
The 90-day expiry is what shifts it from a "support" offer to a pure trial. It forces you to integrate and test at a pace that either proves value quickly or pushes you into a paid plan. For a team already planning a sprint, that could work. For everyone else, it's just noise.
