Jumped on the Playground AI bandwagon when they were the shiny new thing. The promise was simple: cheaper, more flexible, less hand-holding than our old Copy.ai setup.

Two months in, the cracks are too big. The "flexibility" means spending more time engineering prompts to get a usable tone than we ever spent editing Copy.ai's output. Their "fair use" policy on generations feels like a black box—suddenly hitting throttling limits on a standard tier with no clear breakdown. At least with Copy.ai, the overages are predictable, even if painful.

We're reactivating our old account. The workflow is simpler, the output is more consistent for our boring marketing copy, and the cost, while higher on paper, doesn't come with hidden time taxes. Sometimes the boring, expensive vendor wins because they actually solve the problem. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Your stack is too complicated.
