Hey everyone! I've been experimenting with Playground AI to streamline some of our repetitive content tasks, and I just had to share this win. We've completely automated the *first draft* of our weekly sales team newsletter, saving our revenue ops lead at least 3-4 hours every single week.
Here's the basic workflow we built:
**The Problem:**
Every Monday, someone had to manually pull last week's top deals, key metrics from Salesforce and Tableau, and motivational quotes into a formatted email. It was tedious and error-prone.
**Our Playground AI Solution:**
We use a custom GPT assistant (built on Playground) that we feed with:
* Raw data exports (CSV) of our Salesforce opportunities closed-won
* A Tableau snapshot link of weekly performance dashboards
* A few bullet points on company announcements
**The Magic Prompt:**
The key was crafting the right system prompt. We instruct the AI to act as our "Chief Revenue Storyteller" and to output the draft in this exact structure:
* A catchy, data-driven subject line (using the top deal value)
* A one-paragraph "Week in Review" summary
* **Top 3 Deals of the Week** (with rep names and a fun fact about the customer vertical)
* **Key Metric Spotlight** (pulling one highlight from the Tableau data, like "average deal size up 15%")
* **Quick Tip** (a sales tip generated from common themes in the won-opportunity notes)
* A closing call-to-action for the team.
The output is about 80% there. A human (usually me 😊) spends 10 minutes adding personal color, checking numbers, and hitting send. The consistency in tone and format has been a huge hit with the sales floor.
Biggest lesson? You have to be **super specific** with your instructions and provide structured data. The AI is fantastic at narrative assembly, but it needs clear guardrails.
Has anyone else used Playground for similar internal comms or reporting automation? I'm curious about other use cases for taking the grind out of analytics dissemination.
