I've been evaluating Perplexity for technical research and hit a snag. I asked a specific question about a Linux kernel parameter for container networking.
The answer seemed correct at a glance, but when I checked the cited sources, two of the three links were unrelated. One pointed to a generic Kubernetes overview, another to a Docker install guide. The core information wasn't actually supported.
Has anyone else run into this with technical queries? I'm trying to understand if this is a known issue with their citation engine, or if it's more prevalent in certain domains.
The screenshot shows the answer with my annotations highlighting the mismatch. It makes me cautious about relying on it for system configuration details without heavy verification.
