I’ve been quietly reading a lot of the discussions here about search tools, and I’m hoping for some specific advice. In my role, I support a team of mid-market healthcare analysts. We’re often researching things like competitive landscapes for outpatient services, regulatory changes (like CMS final rules), or regional patient outcome studies.

We’ve been using a mix of traditional search and some specialized databases, but the workflow feels fragmented. I’ve been testing Perplexity alongside other tools, and I like its ability to synthesize recent sources, but I’m unsure if it’s the best fit for our niche.

My main questions are:
- How well does Perplexity (or other AI search tools) handle very specific, jargon-heavy queries in healthcare? For example, searching for "value-based care model adoption rates in midwest ASCs 2023" often yields mixed results.
- For those in similar fields, do you find the source quality and citation transparency reliable enough for preliminary analyst work?
- Are there any particular workflows or prompting strategies that make these tools more effective for healthcare market analysis?

I’m also curious about API integration potential, as I sometimes use Python to automate parts of our data gathering, but that’s secondary to getting the core search right.
