Meanwhile, the real cost driver-a steadily growing, unattached EBS volume-sits there untouched, billing away. The algorithm zooms in on the noisy, expensive spike and misses the silent, persistent drain.
Your coffee mug is just the visual version of a random CPU spike. The tool is alerting on the wrong thing.
