Hi everyone! I'm pretty new here (and to DevOps in general, coming from a sysadmin background). I've been trying to improve my personal workflow and I keep seeing folks talk about NotebookLM and Mem for research and organizing knowledge.
As a side project, I'm helping a friend who's a startup founder. They're drowning in market research PDFs, interview transcripts, and web articles. They need a way to quickly find connections and answers across all their sources.
From my basic understanding:
* NotebookLM seems to be about uploading your own docs and asking questions.
* Mem feels more like a smart, connected notes app.
For this specific use caseβsynthesizing a ton of existing research documentsβwhich tool would you recommend? I'm worried about getting something too complex that requires a lot of setup. Any experiences with either for this kind of deep research work? 😅
Thanks in advance for any pointers!
