How do I evaluate if NotebookLM is worth the cost for my 5-person team?

Hi everyone! 👋 I’ve been playing with NotebookLM’s free tier for my personal writing projects and really love how it grounds answers in my own sources. But now my small content team (5 of us) is considering the upgrade to the Pro plan for team collaboration, and I’m trying to figure out if the cost stacks up.

Our main use cases would be:
- Researching and drafting blog posts from shared source folders (like whitepapers and interview transcripts).
- Keeping our brand voice consistent across different writers.
- Maybe using it to brainstorm design briefs or marketing angles from past campaign data.

For those already using it with a small team: what’s been the actual day-to-day value? I’m especially curious about:
- How well does the shared notebook/library system work in practice? Is it smooth or clunky?
- Have you found it actually replaces or reduces time spent on other tools (like a separate grammar checker, research assistant, or even some meeting time)?
- Any gotchas with billing or seat management we should know about?

Basically, I’m trying to move beyond “this is cool tech” to “this saves us X hours per week” or “this improved our content quality in Y way.” Would love to hear your real-world experiences before we commit!
