Hey everyone, just saw the official announcement from Google. NotebookLM is moving to a three-tier model: Free, Pro ($10/month), and Enterprise. The Free tier is now limited to 50 notes and 500 queries per month, while Pro gets you 1,000 notes and 5,000 queries.
I've been using it daily for sprint retrospectives and compiling research on agile tools, so this hits close to home! The 50-note cap on Free feels a bit tight for serious project work. On the plus side, the Pro tier adds features like video source support and the upcoming "noteboard" for sharing interactive guides, which could be a game-changer for team onboarding.
My initial thoughts:
* The pricing seems competitive compared to some other AI research assistants, especially if you're already in the Google ecosystem.
* The query limits make sense, but I'm curious how heavy users will fare. My weekly team sync prep alone generates a lot of back-and-forth.
* I wonder how this will affect our workflows. Will we need to archive old project notes more aggressively to stay under the Free limit?
