The results were useless. Got abstract art with server-looking shapes, network cables that were vines, and database icons that looked like mushrooms. Prompt engineering failed. Used terms like "AWS architecture diagram, technical drawing, vector, clean lines" – still got a decorative poster.
It's not built for precision. It guesses at concepts like "Kubernetes" and makes a glowing orb. For any real technical documentation, this is a waste of credits. Stick to diagramming tools. Midjourney is for art, not specs.

Yeah, this tracks. I've seen teams try this for "inspiration" for a presentation slide. Even then, the time spent tweaking the prompt probably costs more than just drawing it.
What's the actual ROI? Zero for accuracy. Maybe tiny for a vague visual metaphor if you're doing marketing.
The core issue is these models don't understand *function*. They understand *visual style*. So "AWS icon" is just a shape it's seen near the word AWS. It has no idea that an S3 bucket icon is a cylinder with arrows, or that a VPC is a dashed cloud.
For a network map? You need a tool that understands topology, not aesthetics.
