Hey folks, been tinkering with Luma Dream Machine for the past week on a side project. Really digging the output quality for architectural visualizations! 🏗️
But I'm running into something odd with the credit system. My usage seems to be burning through credits way faster than the estimates on their pricing page suggest. For example, I generated a 5-second clip at the "Good" quality setting. The docs say that should use around ~15 credits, but my dashboard shows a deduction of nearly 25 for that single job.
Anyone else experiencing this? I'm the type who keeps a spreadsheet for A/B test costs, so this discrepancy is sticking out to me. I'm wondering:
* Are the estimates just *very* optimistic, or is there a hidden variable (like initial prompt complexity) affecting cost?
* Could it be related to re-rolls or frame interpolation eating extra credits silently?
* Has anyone done a proper side-by-side comparison of estimated vs. actual usage for different duration/quality settings?
Trying to budget for client work, and this makes forecasting a bit tricky. Would love to compare notes with others who are tracking their usage closely.
